Chocolate Bars Bounty | Made with sumptuous moist coconut, wrapped in the creamiest of milk chocolate. Two bars per pack. Imported from England. Bounty is a chocolate bar manufactured by Mars, Incorporated and sold internationally. It has a coconut filling covered with milk chocolate (sold in a blue wrapper) or dark chocolate (sold in a red wrapper) and is one of the few chocolates to come wrapped in two individual halves. Its television advertising has tended to feature scantily clad young men and women on tropical beaches. Although Mars is an American company, Bounty bars have not been available in the United States since the mid-1990s.

Bounty is a coconut-filled, chocolate-enrobed candy bar manufactured by Mars, Incorporated. It is a direct emulation of the Mounds bar introduced by Peter Paul in 1936, and also copies the milk chocolate enrobing of its Almond Joy introduced in 1948 in that version. Introduced in 1951 in the United Kingdom and Canada, it was initially only coated with milk chocolate and is no longer sold in the U.S.

History

Bounty has a coconut filling enrobed with milk chocolate (which is sold in a blue wrapper) or dark chocolate (which is sold in a red wrapper) and is usually sold as two bars wrapped in one package.

Since 2006, a cherry flavoured version has also been available in Australia. This was initially a limited edition flavour, but remained available as of 2013. In Europe, a limited edition mango flavour was available in 2004-05 and in Russia and Ukraine in 2010. A pineapple flavoured edition was available in Russia during 2014.

Although Bounty is no longer distributed by Mars in the United States, similar products, such as Mounds and Almond Joy are marketed by Hershey’s.

Its television advertising has tended to feature tropical beaches with coconut palms.
